Is-sinjal għal ĠIRI BL-OSTAKLI għandu żewġ partijiet. L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal ĠIRI mgħaġġel. Iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ ponn bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa mhux bogħod minn xulxin. Id-dirgħajn jitilgħu u jinżlu ftit mill-minkeb, biex id titla’ waqt li l-id l-oħra tinżel, jiġifieri jduru ma’ xulxin. Il-wiċċ jieħu espressjoni serja u l-ħalq jinfetaħ forma ta’ ċirku tul is-sinjal. Imbagħad, l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. Id waħda tibqa’ bil-ponta tas-saba’ jħares ’il barra waqt li l-id l-oħra ddur biex il-ponta tas-saba’ jħares lejn l-ewwel id waqt li din it-tieni id togħla qisha qed taqbeż fl-għoli. The sign for OBSTACLE or HURDLE RACING has two parts. Fist, the sign for RUNNING is made with both hands which take the shape of fists with the palms facing inwards, not far from each other. The arms move up and down at the elbow so that the hands alternate, one hand moves up whilst the other moves down - the hands turn round each other. The face takes on a serious expression and the mouth is held open in a circle shape throughout the sign. Then, the hands take on the shape of 1 with the palms facing downwards. One hand stays with the fingertip pointing outwards whilst the other hand turns so the fingertip points towards the first hand. The second hand moves upwards as though jumping high. Then the sign is repeated with the parts reduced.
